Music, Style and Information: The Bavarian Brass Band will take you on a trip to Old Vienna where you will hear the sounds of the waltz as if you were sitting at a sidewalk café, enjoying your coffee, and watching the world go by. Or, float down the Rhine River and listen to the band play the tunes which describe the Lorelei and the beautiful vineyards as you listen to “O Mosella.” Then visit deep within the Bohemian Forest and hear “Im Schonen Bohmerwald.” You will surely hear some songs which will make you want to dance. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing along with some of the more familiar numbers such as the “Beer Barrel Polka.” In Czechoslovakia, it’s “Skoda Lasky” (Wasted Love); in Italy, it’s “Rosamunda,” but no matter where you happen to be, it’s the world’s most popular polka. Give your spirits free rein, let yourself go and enjoy the Happy Music. The Bavarian Brass Band received the Greater Green Valley Arts Council Award recognizing them for providing patriotic and entertaining music for numerous civic functions throughout the greater Green Valley area.
